LC's is a small family restaurant specializing in seafood fried in the tradition of Calabash, North Carolina. This
recipe consists of very light batter deep fried in peanut or vegetable oil, piled high on the plate, and always FRESH seafood, never frozen. No dress code (shirts and shoes required) and children welcome.

LC's Seafood, new to the North Myrtle Beach/Ocean Drive area eliminates the need to drive to Calabash, NC for your fresh seafood during your beach vacation!
LC's owner, Larry Chandler, also has Beck's of Calabash, a long time, well known Calabash restaurant, and the food is prepared in the same way...always fresh, lightly battered, and fried in peanut or vegetable oil, changed DAILY.
While there are many seafood restaurants in the Grand Strand, and scores of Seafood Buffett places touted as "Calabash" seafood, the reality is, this traditional style does not consist of a buffett, but a plate piled high at a reasonable price. LC's delivers!
The lunch special is a choice of 2 items, from Flounder, Shrimp, Oysters, Crab or Clams, with cole slaw, french fries, and hushpuppies, at a price of $5.95.
The standard evening meal is a choice of 3 of these, optional baked pototo to replace fries, and a price of $8.95.
An extra item can always be added for $2.00 more, Scallops as a side for $3.00 more, and most items can be broiled instead of fried for $1.50 extra. Shrimp and oyster cocktails are also available for under $6.00. Clam chowder and oyster stew are two delicious options as well!
They also offer steamed oyster roasts in 2 sizes, scallop plates, barbeque plates, chicken fingers, and all of the above in a sandwich. For landlubbers, they have cheese-steak hoagies, salads, hamburgers and hotdogs.
Desserts are available, and vary daily.
New items are being added all the time.
For just a dollar more than most fast food restaurants, you can have the best shrimp and oysters on the beach for lunch, and dinners are just a reasonable. |
