Food was good..not great.. but GOOD, best we've had on our trip, large portions. Lots of things to look at if your a 50s and 60s buff. Great music on the old juke box thats plays free. |

My wife and I have gone to Tommy Ryan's for a number of years. The food is decent, the portions are more than enough and if it is a bit pricey, it should be remembered that it is in a tourist area.
Our last visit was a bit disturbing. For the first time we were asked, "Smoking or non-smoking?" We were led to the non-smoking section, which was the smaller, and less thematically atmospheric part of the restaurant. Amusingly, when we left I counted 7 of 9 tables being used in the non-smokers' section and 3 of 15 or so tables being used in the smokers' section.
I suggest that the management check the restaurants of neighboring Erie County where the smoking vs. non-smoking issue has been in full swing for a number of years. There are fewer smokers' tables without exception.
Although many other areas of the world have not caught on to the health related issues of smoking, there still seems to be fewer smokers than non-smokers in this tourist area. |
