Open since 1994, Oaken Barrel is a brewpub - a combination restaurant and brewery. The restaurant includes a family section, two bars, the outside dining area, and a small banquet facility. Brewmaster Ken Price's gourmet ales and lagers complement Oaken Barrel's Nouveau-American menu which boasts a variety of salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Favorites include Mesquite-Smoked Ribs, Shepherd's Pie, and Cajun Jambalaya Pasta.
In a recent issue of Indianapolis Monthly, Oaken Barrel received the critic's choice award for "Best Brewpub in Indy". The chefs take pride in the quality and creativity of their specials. Ask about the daily food and beer specials on your next visit.
Oaken Barrel's brewpub is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. It is located on Main Street in Greenwood in Vista Village by One Liners Comedy Club. Prices range from $6 to $9 for lunch, and $8 to $16 for dinners.
Monday - Thursday 11 am - Midnight, Sunday 11am - 10pm, Friday - Saturday 11am - 1am

Typical brewery with a nice selection of beers. Weekly specials and a wide variety on the menu. I've been here several times, and have always enjoyed the service, and have never had a bad time. Join the Oaken Barrel's "Schmoozer" club to earn gift certificates, and to get on the weekly email list announcing the weekend's specials. Outdoor patio, weather permitting, makes for an even more enjoyable evening. |
