We (party of 4) just recently ate there the week of July 4th. Got there about quarter to noon and had no wait at all. Ordered the cheeseburgers, a rootbeer float and a chocolate shake. All were to die for. The waiter even brought a cup with more rootbeer in it in case there wasn't enough rootbeer in the float. You can order a hambuger with no cheese, as one person in our party did, with no trouble at all. But why would you? LOL.
They make all the food up fresh when you order. It says on the menu to expect a 15 minute wait after placing your order for your meal to arrive. That's about what it took too. There are trivia cards on the table to have fun with while you're waiting. The building is small and the tables are close together but not too close.
They sell Cheeburger, Cheeburger t-shirts and if you wear one back on your next visit you recieve a free soft drink. I was wearing my t-shirt and recieved my free drink with no problem. Also, they serve Pepsi products. A nice change from Coca-Cola.
I highly recommend Cheeburger Cheeburger. |

Despite the fact that their line for seating is extremely long, the wait is well worth it. If you are going to Sanibel during peak times, such as Spring Break, Easter, or Christmas, you should try to get there about 4:30 to avoid the rush. You can, however, call them and do a takeout, which I have never done because it takes a lot of the fun out of the experience. They currently have a contest, well not really a contest, but more of a challenge for you to eat a one pound burger. If you eat the whole thing there, you get your picture taken and put on the wall. Their shakes are out of this world, and with more that 20 flavors to choose from, you are bound to find something that floats your boat. You have to hit this place on Sanibel. |
